When I was racing - I very often found it took ages to locate information - or a source for a particular part - and from reading through lots of forums - and seeing so many requests for "where do I get this" - or "where do I get that" or "how do I do this" - I am not the only one.
Of course it's much easier to find information these days - with the internet used by everyone - but don't you very often do a search on Google for the "stuff" we need - you get a mountain of "stuff" that is of no interest - and you end up sifting through pages & pages of unrelated "stuff" to find the bit you're after ?
Most of the "old hands" usually know where to go for what they need -  some of the newer people may not - and that's the reason for putting this website up -  in the hope that a useful collection of reference information can be put together by those that are "in the know" - to help "everyone" involved in the Sport.
There may even be a few of the Manufacturers, Constructors, & Suppliers willing to contribute useful information here - please let's hear from you... 

The Initial Database is Here  - I've used a standard Forum type program because it has the database built - in - and the various categories can be set up within the forum...
I chose this particular one (SMF) because it handles pictures quite nicely - an article or piece of text can be written or pasted in - and the photos attached directly to the article - it also "auto-thumbnails" the pictures too - take a look - see what you think ?
Before I spend a lot more time on this - It would be useful to hear from anyone with an interest - to get some idea of whether it's something people would find useful - if it's not - well then the idea is maybe not as good as I hoped it might be....
With a little bit of input from everyone involved - hopefully most people could find something of use.
